Your Gemini key, WiFi, the day's plan and everything you need, in one place.
.env, not your shell profile (Gemini CLI picks it up from there). We watch usage per key; a runaway key gets paused.••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
Put it in an environment variable. In a project, use a .env file:
GEMINI_API_KEY=…
gemini-flash-latestYour key is in your pack document.
Open your pack.env to .gitignore before your first commit, and run git grep AIza before every push. Leaked it? Tell an organiser and we'll switch it off and give you a fresh one.Stuck for more than 20 minutes? Find anyone in a ZEIL shirt. That's what we're here for.
Tick things off as you go. The times are where you should be by then; this page tracks you against the clock. Ticks are saved on this device only.
400 API key not valid: copy the whole key again, no spaces or quotes inside it.403 PERMISSION_DENIED: the key is switched off or restricted. Tell an organiser.429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED: the shared quota is busy. Wait a few seconds and retry with backoff. Don't hammer it in a loop; you'll slow everyone down.500 / 503: Google's side. |---|---|---|
| Idea | 25 | A real problem for real people, clearly stated. Why this idea? |
| Features | 25 | What actually works, shown live in the demo |
| Approach | 30 | How you broke it down, your decisions and trade-offs, how you used AI |
| Explanation | 20 | Could a judge understand it all in 3 minutes? |
| Bonus | +50 | Up to +50, only on top of a working project |
Pick one thing and make it great. Past winners didn't win on a long feature list or the cleanest code. They chose one real problem, went deep on it, and could explain every decision.
We look hardest at how you chose the idea, how you approached it, and your thought process: what you tried, what you cut, what you changed your mind about and why. Show us that in your video.
Optional, on top of your main score, up to +50. Pick the ones that fit your idea: a challenge that belongs in your product scores better than one bolted on. Judges award full, half or no points. Claim them in the submit form with a video timestamp or a file in your repo.
By 16:00. No late entries. Resubmit as often as you like; your latest entry counts.
